Activities

Winter

The cross-country skiing trails are just round the corner. You may connect to the Krkonošská magistrála from Strážné, other trails can be reached near the house. Vejsplachy, a cross-country skiing site, is open in Vrchlabí all winter. We will gladly provide you with a map and information about the cross-country trails.

The nearest ski slopes are in Strážné, which you may reach by a ski bus free of charge. Other slopes are on the opposite hill – the site of Herlíkovice-Bubákov, Kněžický vrch and others. A ski bus from the site of Herlíkovice-Bubákov also comes for school groups.

Summer

Horský domov is an excellent starting point for mountain hikes. We are directly on the tourist route which will lead you to the Krkonoše mountains’ peaks or to Špindlerův mlýn, should you wish so. There is also a nice walk to Vrchlabí. We will gladly recommend some trails for your hikes.

A paid ski bus from Strážné may take you directly to the mountain ridge. With it, you can get to Rennerovy boudy or Friesovy boudy.

During the hot summer days, you may cool down in the pools of Klínový brook, which can be reached from the Strážné quarry. Or you may swim in the Vrchlabí aquapark, or in the swimming pool or aquapark in Špindlerův mlýn.
